Born in Taipei, Taiwan and educated in New York City (NYU and Columbia University alum), Jerry Jean is a NYC-based songwriter, musician, and professional vocal coach.

Jerry has performed as a pianist, singer, and music director in venues as varied as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the United Nations, and The Bitter End.

He has won 1st place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition every year he has entered, and is also a 1st place MEA Piano Competition winner.

Jerry has worked as a professional vocal coach in NYC since 2004, and his clients have included recording artists, Broadway actors, and featured performers in television and film.

For over 6 years, Jerry has served on the music and voice faculty at CAP 21, the music-theater conservatory at New York University. He has also served on the drama faculty at City College of New York, and the Professional Performing Arts School. He is an active member of NYSTA, the New York Singing Teachers' Association.
